Job Description: |
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Procurement Officer to join our team for a major Civil Project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and cost-effective procurement of civil construction materials, rented and purchased machinery, and assets, while maintaining accurate documentation and coordination with relevant departments. This position requires a highly organized individual with deep knowledge of civil material procurement, vendor handling, and construction support logistics.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Source, negotiate, and procure civil construction materials from earth filling to foundation finishing.
- Arrange rented heavy machinery such as excavators, rollers, graders, sheep foot rollers, and shovel loaders etc as per the requirements.
- Coordinate the procurement of new assets and tools, as well as arrange short/long-term rentals when required.
- Prepare and maintain all procurement documentation, including:
- Quotations
- Comparative statements
- Purchase orders
- Invoices and vendor payments
- Maintain accurate records of all purchases and payments in coordination with finance.
- Collaborate with store, QC, and site teams for material inspection, delivery tracking, and issue resolution.
- Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery timeline.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Ensure the timely availability of all materials and services to keep project timelines intact.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, or Business)

Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar procurement role for civil construction projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organization and record-keeping skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement demands.
- Knowledge of construction workflows, site logistics, and civil materials is a must
